75 Years old and don’t look a day over 20!

75 years ago on the 5th February 1941 the Ministry of Defence formed the Air Training Corps from a voluntary youth group so that young men could begin early training for a short track path to join the RAF with many skills already learned and experienced.  In 2016 the ATC now includes girls and has many different aims but remains a part of the RAF.

On Sunday 7th February 2016 nearly 100 cadets and staff from local Squadrons in the surrounding areas marched through North Walsham town centre in recognition of their 75th Birthday.

Cromer Squadron cadets and those from North Walsham, Stalham, Broadlands and Norwich Squadrons set out from the Memorial Gardens to the Parish Church where they attended a service. The service was led by all the Squadron Chaplains.

Similar parades took part all over the country commemorating the 75th Anniversary. More events will be planned during the year.IMG_5533 IMG_5559 IMG_5575 IMG_5729 IMG_5725
